What is VIEDRAM?

VIEDRAM is a Video Design festival created seven years ago within the School of Visual Arts of IED in Rome, following an advanced training research that brought to the creation of a dedicated course.

Under the artistic direction of FEFÈ Project, VIEDRAM is today the first Video and Sound Design Festival in Italy.

Who can participate in VIEDRAM?

Professionals, young talents or aspiring video and sound designers can participate in the festival.

How is it possible to participate in VIEDRAM?

In order to participate it is necessary to send one or more videos, together with the application form, within the established deadline.

What format should I send my videos in?

Videos must be sent in duplicate to VIEDRAM editorial staff, together with the application form duly filled in. Videos must comply with the following technical requirements.

• Support: DVD
• Type of file: QuickTime uncompressed or QuickTime Photojpeg (maximum quality)
• Video Format: PAL (720x576/25fps - 768x576/25fps)
• High Definition (please note that the file must be QuickTime format)
• NTSC (videos will be converted; the staff disclaims all responsibility for the result of the conversion);
• Audio Format: AIFF 44.100 Khz 16 bit stereo.

Is there a maximum length for the videos?

Yes, between 3 and 5 minutes.

What is the deadline to submit the videos?

The deadline to submit the videos is September 10, 2009. Postmark date will be regarded as the date of delivery.

Can I participate with more than one video?

Yes.

Is there any application fee?

The costs of conversion, duplication and delivery of videos are chargeable to the participants.

What are the criteria for selection?

Videos will be selected on the basis of their innovation, personal interpretation and creativity skills, and appropriate use of technologies.

Who is FEFÈ Project?

FEFÈ Project is in charge of the artistic direction of the festival.
Acronym of Free Entry Free Exit, FEFÈ is an international magazine working as an enzyme for a free aggregation principle.
It is a mobile construction site focusing every time on different projects:

• Editorial products (FEFÈ Visual Magazine and FEFÈ+),
• Events. Among the others: The White Night, Rome-2007; LPM. Live Performers Meeting–2007/2008; Rome Film Festival - 2007, Enzimi-2007; FotoGrafia. Rome’s International Festival -2008),
• Vjing. Among the others: MOBY at the Powerstock Festival-2007,
• Music. Starting from September it will be possible to listen to and surf FEFÈ online radio at radiofefe.com.

FEFÈ Project is the promoter of BELVEDERE, the 1st International Visual Magazine Fefèstival (belvederefefestival.com).

Why is it called Fefèstival?

On the occasion of its 7th edition, the Festival is held under the Artistic Direction of FEFÈ Project (fefeproject.com), thus becoming integral part of its range of events and projects, and adopting the name of Fefèstival.
